Disaster for Punam Yadav
Disaster! The challenge is turned down. Punam loses out as she drops the bar just before the buzzer. None of her three C&J lifts were valid. So even though she was in silver medal position after Snatch, she will finish without a score.

Weightlifting: Punam fails to lift in 1st C&J attempt
Athletics: Anees finishes eighth overall with 7.68m and qualifies for the finals. Both Sree and Anees have thus qualified. Manpreet Kaur's qualification round is going on now. She also looks likely to go through.
Weightlifting: The C&J round is underway. Punam still has a firm hold on the second spot. She fails to lift 116kg in her first attempt though.

Swimming: Srihari breaks national record
Srihari Nataraj finishes 3rd in his heat (200m backstroke) with a timing of 2.00.84. In the process he smashed his own NR of 2.01.70 clocked in 2019 Jr World Champs.
He is placed 9th overall and will be the first reserve for the final. What a set of performances by Srihari throughout CWG!

Anees is currently topping his group. We look set to have 2 long jumpers in the final! Anees follows up his first round effort of 7.49 meters with a much better 7.68 meters. Top 12 qualify for the finals.
