Olympic Games Paris 2024 LIVE Day 14: Wrestler Aman Sehrawat won the bronze medal as the youngest male competitor at the Paris Olympics, defeating Puerto Rican wrestler Darian Cruz 13-5 in the 57kg bronze medal bout.
In athletics, the Indian men’s and women’s 4x400 relay teams finished 5th and 8th, respectively, in their heats and did not qualify for the final.
Indian golfers, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar disappoint in Round 3.

Disappointing day for Indian Golfers!
Starting Round 3 tied for 14th position, both Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar have slipped to 40th and 42nd positions, respectively.
With only one more round to go, both golfers will need to make serious improvements to climb the leaderboard and position themselves for a podium finish.

Aditi Ashok made bogeys on holes 12, 13, and 15, slipping to 39th position.
Meanwhile, Diksha Dagar made a triple bogey on hole 15, dropping her further to 42nd position after previously making consecutive pars.

Aditi Ashok has made two more bogeys on holes 12 and 13, dropping to 36th position with 5 holes remaining in Round 3.
Meanwhile, Diksha Dagar has made a recovery by scoring par on holes 11, 12, and 13, but it hasn’t been enough to move up the leaderboard.

Aditi Ashok made a bogey on hole 9 but has since recovered by making par on holes 10 and 11.
Meanwhile, Diksha Dagar made four consecutive bogeys from holes 6 to 10, causing her to slip to 28th position.

Aditi Ashok has once again slipped to 19th place after climbing to 13th, due to making double bogeys on hole 7.
Diksha Dagar has also slipped three places to 17th position.
What is a double bogey?
In golf, a "double bogey" refers to a score of two strokes over par on a particular hole.
For example, if a hole is designated as a par 4 and a golfer takes 6 strokes to complete it, that score is considered a double bogey.

Golf Round 3 Live: Aditi Ashok climbs to 13th after making two birdies!
India’s Aditi Ashok climbed to 13th place from 19th after making back-to-back birdies on holes 5 and 6. Meanwhile, Diksha Dagar slipped two places to 16th due to a bogey on hole 4.
What is a birdie?
In golf, a birdie refers to a score of one stroke under par on a particular hole. For example, if a hole is designated as a par 4, and a golfer completes it in 3 strokes, that score is considered a birdie.
It indicates that the golfer performed better than the expected number of strokes for that hole.
