    Rotation 4

Last rotation for the USA, going to Beam!

    Team NL goes to vault

  • 25 July 2021 7:38 AM GMT

Mykayla Skinner last up on bars from the US. Competing as an individual, soaks up her tears and comes back to do a great bars routine! Good for he. 13.666

  • 25 July 2021 7:36 AM GMT

Mind you Sunisa Lee scores the 15.200 on her 'easy' routine, easy for her anyway. She missed one of her big connections but doesn't affect her!

Jade Carey - gets a 14.133 on bars, not bad at all considering this is not her strongest event

    SUNISA LEE

Ms. SUNISA LEE. Take a bow. What a huge routine from the 19 year old. Absolutely spectacular. Gets a huge 15.2 that puts her in first place for the bars final. Should hold in one of the top spots through qualifications

  • 25 July 2021 7:30 AM GMT

Jordan Chiles on bars: had a great routine going and drags her feet on her transition skill, the Pak salto. Haven't seen her falter all season on a single skill but not her day today. Seems PISSED off after that routine. 12.866

Simone Biles - gets through a good routine, a few breaks here and there, 14.566

    Rotation 3

Netherlands on floor and USA on bars!

Grace McCallum, great bar routine for her, 14.1

Netherlands out here teaching a lesson on artistry and dance skills. Just beautiful!

  • 25 July 2021 7:18 AM GMT

Sanne Wevers, the defending Olympic Champion from 2016 Rio, scores only a 13.866. not enough for a beam event final spot and will not be able to defend her title here in Tokyo.

We are finally going to rotate and we have Sunisa Lee on Bars!!

  • 25 July 2021 7:13 AM GMT

LONG delay with issues in the scoring system. Everyone literally waiting impatiently to go to the next event

  • 25 July 2021 7:12 AM GMT

Meanwhile, Updates for Rotation 1 since we missed it because of coverage issues :/

Simone scores a 14.133 for her floor routine, seems low for her. The floor completely threw her off after her third tumble where she had too mcuh power. Not the start she wanted but, oh well.

Sunisa Lee and Jordan Chiles also had average performances without errors, scoring 13.433 and 13.566 respectively.

The enquiry for Eythora Thorisdottir from NL accepted and we can finally move to the next rotation!
