Goes for his final lift straightaway. And he fails to get any power into this one. His final total remains 248 kgs. The Malaysian is 3 kgs behind but has two lifts left.

Malaysian lifter gets to within 3kgs of Sanket
The Malaysian lifts 138kg in his 1st attempt. Which puts him 3 kg behind Sanket's gold medal spot.
Sanket fails to register a valid lift on his 2nd attempt. And he seems to have done some damage to his left elbow.

Sanket lifts 135kgs on his first C&J attempt. The Malaysian has set his starting weight at 140kg.

Meanwhile, Nitender Rawat is at 12th spot in the Marathon with around half an hour left.

Sanket's troubles in C&J
Sanket has a big 6-kg lead for the gold medal now but he has known to stutter in the C&J section. He had failed all 3 C&J attempts during the 2021 World Championships - His 3 attempts had been 139, 139, 140. His first attempt here is 135.
Let's hope he has no such problems today.
