Veer Chotrani advances to his second consecutive PSA Challenger Tour final

Young Indian squash player Veer Chotrani has been in scintillating form this month, reaching his second consecutive PSA Challenger Tour final in Costa Rica, on Friday.
After clinching the White Oaks Cup, Veer entered the Costa Rica Open with a surge of confidence. This momentum carried him to the final, following a semi-final victory against England’s Samuel Osborne-Wylde.
Earlier in the tournament, Veer made headlines by defeating top seed David Baillargeon of Canada in the quarterfinals with an impressive straight-game victory, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8.
The seventh-seeded Chotrani is now set to face sixth seed Ronald Palomino of Colombia in the final later tonight, aiming for back-to-back PSA Challenger titles this month.

Abhay Singh’s remarkable journey came to an end in the semi-finals of the PSA World Tour Bronze-level Ace Malaysia Squash Cup in Kuala Lumpur. He suffered a tough loss to Asian Games champion Eain Yow Ng of Malaysia.
This marked Singh’s first-ever semi-final appearance on the PSA World Tour. Along the way, he secured two notable victories, including a 3-1 win over Qatar’s world no. 27 Abdulla Al-Tamimi in the second round.
In the quarterfinals, Singh triumphed in an all-Indian clash, defeating national champion Velavan Senthilkumar in four games, 12-14, 11-5, 12-10, 11-8.
Meanwhile, India’s no. 1 player Ramit Tandon also exited in the quarterfinals. He put up a strong fight against top seed and world no. 11 Youssef Soliman of Egypt but fell in four games, 11-9, 7-11, 11-8, 11-7.
