Sumit Kumar wins men's 3000m Steeplechase
Services' Sumit Kumar bags the men's 3000m steeplechase gold with a timing of 8:46.26s.
The second to fourth place finishers did not even have a second to separate them.
Double podium for Services as Rohit Verma takes silver and Himachal Pradesh's Shankar Lal Swami rounds off the podium with the bronze medal.
The young Sharuk Khan of UP finishes fourth, just 0.05s off the third place.
Tajinder Toor wins men's shot put
The experienced Tajinderpal Singh Toor walks away with the men's shot put gold medal. He records a distance of 19.74m.
Samardeep Singh Gill (19.38m) and Prabhkirpal Singh (19.04m) win the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Toor and Gill have also eclipsed the qualification mark for the Asian C'ships, booking their slot at the continental event.
National Games TT Final Set: West Bengal vs Maharashtra!
Maharashtra dominates Haryana 3-0 in the first semifinal, with wins from Diya Chitale, Swastika Ghosh, and Taneesha Kotecha.
West Bengal sweeps Delhi 3-0, led by Ayhika Mukherjee, Sutirtha Mukherjee, and Poymantee Baisya.
The two powerhouses will now battle for gold in the women's table tennis team event at the 38th National Games.
