Odisha announces cash rewards for 46 National Games medallists
Odisha won 46 medals, including 14 gold, 15 silver, and 17 bronze, finishing 12th on the medal table.

The Odisha government has announced cash prizes for the state's medallists at the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand. Odisha won 46 medals, including 14 gold, 15 silver, and 17 bronze, finishing 12th on the medal table.
Gold medallists will receive Rs 6 lakh each, while silver and bronze medallists will be awarded Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, respectively.
"This year, Odisha has made a mark in national games, securing a place among the top 15 states. Winning 46 medals, including 14 gold, is a significant achievement. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the athletes," said Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
"The state is committed to support its sportspersons and will continue to support and nurture the sporting talent to shine on national and global stages," he added.
The cash awards will be presented to the athletes at a felicitation ceremony.
Odisha had sent a contingent of 302 athletes to the 38th National Games. Among the standout performers were sprinter Animesh Kujur, who clinched three gold medals, and gymnast Rakesh Patra, who secured two golds. Gymnast Pranati Nayak added to the tally with one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, while cyclist Swasti Singh contributed one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
