The 38th edition of the National Games entered the third day of competition on Friday. There were medals on offer in events ranging from shooting to rugby today in the state of Uttarakhand.

Former world champion Rudrankksh Patil and Paris Olympics fourth-place finisher Arjun Babuta were left behind by 17-year-old Parth Mane in the men's 10m air rifle final whereas Bindyrani bettered Mirabai Chanu's Snatch NR in 55 Kg.

After day 3, the medal tally is tightly poised as three contingents, Manipur, Services, and Karnataka, are tied on 9 gold medals and the top three are separated by just 2 medals in between.

Vanshika Namdeo and Pragya Yadav won the gold medals in Gunshu (Taolu) and Taijijian (Taolu) respectively to take Madhya Pradesh's gold medal tally to three in the sports of Wushu.
