The advise to Walsh from the coaches in her corner was to take the bull by its horns. Will she do it?
She indeed starts like it. She is on the offensive and has landed a couple of jabs. Jaismine needs to be careful here. She can't afford to breathe easy...a 20-18 lead can be overturned any minute.
Jaismine now moving around the ring. I feel she needs to find a way to land a few punches. As I type that, she uses her reach to a good effect and lands a couple.
Walsh is looking to apply the pressure but Jaismine seems to be holding well.
20s left in the contest and Jaismine evades the desperate attempts from Walsh rather convincingly.
Who's got this?
Jaismine Lamboria it is. She wins the gold medal bout unanimously. Make it 2/2 gold for India!
Praveen had a foul on his final attempt; hence, he finished with the silver medal with a best of 16.58m.
A double Podium confirmed for India as Selva Prabhu won the bronze medal with his best of 16.52m.
He couldn't improve his mark on the final attempt, but a bronze medal was already confirmed for him ahead of his attempt.
A similar script in the early phase of second round. Walsh is letting Jaismine come in and relying on the counter herself.
Jaismine is barely taking the bait this time around and is extremely cautious about her stance even as she goes in.
Walsh is running around the ring. The Northern Ireland boxer might be playing this into the hands of the Indian, I think.
Walsh looks to attack now, but is sent back with a crisp punch to the face by Jaismine.
Much like the first round, this was a strategic battle. Both happy to hang back.
Jaismine wins round 2 unanimously. She has the advantage heading into the final round!
With just one round to go, both Indian triple jumpers will aim to confirm another double podium for India.
Current Standings after 5 rounds:
Jordan Scott (JAM): 16.72m
Praveen Chithravel (IND): 16.58m
Selva Prabhu (IND): 16.52m.
Ethan Olivier (NZL): 16.50m
The battle is underway. Walsh runs into Jaismine, but it is the Indian jabbing and the Northern Ireland boxer blocking with her gloves.
Jaismine itching to play on the front foot, while Walsh is happy to be on the counter. There's not a lot of punches thrown even after a minute. This is a cagey, cautious contest.
Walsh is forcing Jaismine to come forward and relying on counter. The Indian has been quick to evade those counter punches, before Walsh immediately lands one cleanly.
Walsh is now running around the ring. As the clock winds down, your guess is as good as mine on who gets this. That was slowwwwww...
Where are my punches!?
Jaismine wins that round 3-2 on split.
Priyanka finished in 4th place with a time of 45:53.93s behind the three Australians, who completed a podium sweep in Glasgow.
The other Indian, Ravina, however, was disqualified after the 4000m because of four fouls she had due to the Knee Bent.
Jaismine Lamboria walks out to the ring now for women's 57kg final. She is up against Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland.
Jaismine is the reigning world champion!
