2025 ITTF World C'ships Highlights: The Indian campaign in singles events at the 2025 ITTF World Championships in Doha came to an end on Tuesday as Manika Batra, Diya Chitale, and Manav Thakkar bowed out in Round of 64.
While Batra lost out to a lower ranked Park Gahyeon of South Korea 0-4 in straight games, Thakkar put up a brave fight against fourth seed Tomokazu Harimoto before losing 2-3.
Chitale, meanwhile, took a game off the tenth seed Cheng I-Ching of Chinese Taipei before losing 1-4.

Manav Thakkar lives to fight another day. He comes from behind in the fifth game to win it 11-8.

Harimoto now seems to be in his zone. Manav Thakkar had zero zoom for error in the second game and the Indian crumbles 3-11 within the blink of an eye.

Manav Thakkar fights well. He gives it his all, but Harimoto shows why he is world class. The Japanese paddler, after hitting a few into the net at the start, holds his nerves to take the opening game 13-11.
Thakkar might have lost the first game but he'll take a lot of positives from this one as he tries to push Harimoto.
