It was one of the most disappointing days for the Indian campaign at the Tokyo Olympics. After the Mixed 10m Air Pistol pair of Saurabh Chaudhary-Manu Bhaker and Abhishek Verma-Yashaswini Deswal fail to impress, the Mixed 10m Air Rifle pairs of Divyansh Panwar-Elavenil Valarivan and Anjum Moudgil-Deepak Kumar looked completely off-colour and failed to reach the qualifying stage 2.

5 of the 6 Pistol individual medallists in contention
5 of the total 6 Pistol shooters who finished at the podium in their Individual 10m Air Pistol events are still in contention in the Mixed 10m Air Pistol as well. The only one to miss out is Bulgaria's Kostadinova Antoaneta, who had clinched the silver in Women's event.
