The Indian shooters are off on a gold-looting spree, of sorts, as young guns, Saurabh Chaudhary and Divyansh Singh Panwar bagged gold medals on the second day of the InterShoot International Championships in their air pistol and air rifle events, respectively.

The 17-year old Divyansh Singh Panwar from Jaipur has been a true revelation as the silver medalist at the 2019 ISSF World Cup, has been dominating the European circuit and creating quite the ripples there. Along with him, Asian Games gold medalist, Saurabh Chaudhury is also making quite the impact felt in Europe as he bagged the gold at the InterShoot International Championships in Hague, Netherlands.

Divyansh has been remarkable and has shown tremendous improvement as he notched praise-worthy scores during his last five 10 meter Air Rifle events across Europe. The Jaipur boy who trains at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi, has fetched the top honors in his recent tournament-winning spree in the European continent. In the 10-meter air rifle event, Divyansh won his second successive gold by shooting 251.6 to cruise past compatriot Deepak Kumar by 0.9 points.The youngster has maintained a whopping 630.3 average score with his lowest only dipping to 628.3. He has has been among the top two people to qualify for the events and then going on to bag the gold in it. The young Divyansh is showing a promising consistency which is a very positive thing ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Meanwhile, Saurabh Chaudhary qualified on top with a decent 585 and shot 240.3 in the final of the 10-meter air pistol event and edged past Joao Costa of Portugal by 1.7 points. Akin to Divyansh, Saurabh also bagged his second successive gold at the InterShoot International Championships. The next big target for these young shooters would be the upcoming New Delhi ISSF World Cup which will begin in March.
