The Indian women's hockey team registered a shock 2-1 win over the reigning Olympic champions Netherlands on Friday. Having taken a 2-0 lead at the halftime via Neha and Sonika, the Indians maintained their composure to pocket one of their biggest victories in recent times.
The Dutch women will certainly be wounded after the loss and are expected to come out hard today for the final leg. Will the Indians be able to complete a double?

The toss for the shoot-off is done and dusted and it's the Dutch who will take the first shot on goal.

Both the teams gave in their all in the final few minutes of this contest, but neither succeed in breaking the deadlock. 1-1 it is after 60 minutes on a hot Bhubaneswar afternoon and off we go into the Penalty Shootoff.

India earn a PC quickly after that goal from Netherlands, but Gurjit Kaur hits the crossbar with that dragflick. That was powerfully struck, but was a bit too high for India's liking.

The Netherlands have broken in. They have finally scored. Yet another PC for them and it's their skipper Jansen who helps them equalise with a powerful, high dragflick towards the left of Savita Punia.
The Indian captain had no chance there.

Yet another PC for Netherlands and that's yet another save by Savita Punia. WHAT A GAME SHE IS HAVING!

That's the third PC missed in a minute by the Dutch and their dugout is certainly not happy. The deflection goes wide this time as we go into the final water break with 7 and a half minutes left in the match.
India have been under the pump this quarter and they need to find ways to attack. They cannot afford to sit back and defend with the way Netherlands are attacking.

52' - Multiple PCs for Netherlands!
The first one is blocked by Nisha, but the Dutch are awarded yet another PC. Savita saves the second time and the Dutch review it straightaway asking for a Penalty Stroke.
The TV umpire agrees with the on-field decision and the Netherlands lose their review. It is still a PC though for the Dutch.
