WHIL: Delhi SG Pipers edges out Odisha Warriors in the shootout- Highlights

In the final leg of the Women's Hockey India League (WHIL) group stage, and the penultimate match, Odisha Warriors took on the Delhi SG Pipers, in Rachi on Thursday.
Odisha wanted an outright win to seal their spot in the final of the inaugural edition of the WHIL, with Bengal Tigers breathing down their neck.
Despite a disappointing tournament for Delhi, they ended the tournament on a high note with a shootout win.

A very entertaining second half so far, with Odisha storming back into the contest and levelled things up thanks to a PC goal from Yibbie Janson.
Bichu Devi was called into action multiple times this quarter, and Odisha have their noses up, going for the kill.
Can Delhi put in one final push towards what would be a memorable victory.

Delhi continued being positive and were awarded with a penalty corner.
It was Navneet Kaur who hit the dragflick but her shot was blocked by the incoming Odisha defender.
A strange choice of dragflicker since Manisha Chauhan was on the field and is known for her dragflicking prowess.

Claire Colwill lets one go from distance but it was more of a hit and hope since Delhi had numbers behind.
The Pipers have come out in a low-block setup and so far, have defended diligently in an organized manner.

Delhi have been the better side across the 30 minutes, and are deservingly in the lead.
A penalty stroke towards the end of the first half boded very well for the Pipers, with their skipper Navneet Kaur making no mistake from the spot.
Odisha have a lot of work to do, they have threatened the goal and forced a couple of saves from Bichu Devi but need to do more.
Do not go anywhere, we will be back in a short while for the second half!
