FIH Pro League: India women lose 1-2 vs China in 1st match - Highlights

The Indian women's hockey team in action for their final match of the season in FIH Pro League.
The Indian women's hockey team's bid to start the FIH Pro League on a winning note has been spoiled by China, who was too hard of an opponent for India. China defeated India 2-1 after coming back from a goal down at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
Dan Wen and Gu Bingfeng scored the goals for China in the 40th and 52nd minutes. India, however, took the lead in the match when Vandana Katariya scored a goal in the 15th minute.
Wen troubled the Indian defence towards the end, forcing too many penalty corners for China. Bingfeng scored from a rebound in one of them. India has also suffered due to poor execution in the circle.
This was China's first win against India in the FIH Pro League. It took three points from this win and India was nil.

35' Lalremsiami breaks into the Chinese circle
Lalremsiami makes an attack on the Chinese circle following a pass by Udita. Nikki Pradhan tries to steal the ball. Mumtaz then fails to control Lalremsiami's cross as the Chinese defence crowds the circle and stops the Indian players from creating a scoring chance.

33' India spoils a chance
Sangita Kumari makes a solid effort after India builds an attack through the left. Sangita does everything to dribble past the Chinese players and dish out the ball in front of the Chinese goal only for her teammate to score. But the Chinese defence clears the danger and Neha and Vandana struggle to connect the ball in a last-ditch attempt. India 1-0 China

30' Big miss by Sharmila
Sharmila has a chance to shoot and score after Navneet Kaur drives towards the circle after stealing the ball from a Chinese player. But Sharmila misses her shot completely. Chinese keeper Xinhuan clears the ball, but it goes to Lalremsiami.. but the hooter goes off indicating the end of the second quarter and half-time.
