With majority of the world in a lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, athletes are coming up with different ways to stay fit and active through out their day. India's newest cricket sensation, 16-year-old, Shafali Verma, has also a set schedule to follow when at home.

"I have been working hard on my fitness and it helps that HCA has given us customised fitness charts keeping in mind the areas we need to work on. With us staying indoors at this point in time, the chart further helps as it has workouts planned in a way that we can easily do them at home and don't need to go to a gym." Shafali has said.

Shafali was the find of the tournament for India in the ICC T20 World Cup. Speaking to to IANS amid the nation wide 21-day lockdown the teenage sensation has said that her journey has just started.

"Just didn't go our way that day. But sports is all about winning and losing. There will be other opportunities that will go our way. What happened we cannot change, but what will happen is in our hands and we will not leave any stone unturned as we look to be the best in the business." Shafali explained.

For a player of her age, Shafali has shown a lot of maturity when she said that even though she has won a lot of applause for her performance but a trophy in hand would still fell better.

With the team on the younger side, a lot of enthusiasm is involved in the team and in the upcoming ODI world cup next, their performance will grab a lot of eye balls.
