Weightlifting, Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming, Gymnastics and Judo are some of the sports where Indians will be in matches to assure themselves of medals, but slightly surprisingly, there's also a chance of a historic medal in Lawn Bowls.

After a disappointing Tokyo Olympics, Amit Panghal starts off well at the Commonwealth Games. He moves to the quarterfinals of Men's 51kg with an unanimous decision win over Namri Berri.
