Indian Men's Team, led by Lakshya Sen opened their campaign against Korea at Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022. The Indians lost the tie 0-5.

Welcome to the live blog from Day 1 of the Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022 at Shah Alam, Malaysia.
The Indian men's team led by Lakshya Sen and Kiran George failed to impress in their outing against Korea and lost every single match, the biggest upset being that of Lakshya Sen losing in straight games.
Only Mithun Manjunath was able to take a game off the Koreans at the eleventh hour and played a thriller but all other players disappointed as they lost the tie with Korea, 0-5.

This tie is lost for India at this stage with the Koreans gaining a 3-0 advantage already on the board. Two more matches remain.

And Kiran George can't save face today - he loses too!
It's not a good day for Indian badminton stars at the BATC 2022 as they haven't been able to win a single game, let alone a match in this tie against Korea.
Kiran George loses in 42 minutes, 21-18, 21-14. Good fight but this wasn't enough.
