The Indian wrestlers including the likes of Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and others restarted their protest against the WFI on Sunday.

They refuse to budge from the protest site and have spent three consecutive nights at Jantar Mantar.

Hours after Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said he sat hours with the wrestlers and gave them ample time, Bajrang Punia rubbishes it.

"Sports Minister sat with us just for a few minutes. We were intimidated at times in the meeting," he says.

Tokyo Olympics silver medallist wrestler Ravi Dahiya has come out in support of his fellow teammates.

"Soldiers and wrestlers are every country's pride and respecting them is every country's responsibility," he tweets.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur broke his silence for the first time on the wrestlers' protest.

"A few wrestlers are sitting in protest at Jantar Mantar. I have spent 12 hours hours with them -- seven hours on the first day and five hours the next day. I had listened to all their grievances, held a press conference at 2-2.30 at night, formed a committee after talking to them. They had asked to add a member and gave Babita Phogat's name and we added her to the committee. There is nothing in our mind, we wanted an impartial probe," he said.

The IOA, in their meeting, named a three-member committee to look after the daily affairs and conduct fresh WFI elections within the next 45 days.

The committee will include Suma Shirur, Bhupinder Bajwa and a retired judge, who will be named later.
