Asian Wrestling C'ships 2025: Deepak Punia, Udit win silver medals, Bronze for Dinesh -Highlights

The final batch of five men's freestyle wrestlers were in action for India at the 2025 Asian Championships in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday.
The Indian contingent had already won seven medals from the competition before the final day and added three more on the day to take the medal tally to double digits: 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 6 Bronze.
Five Wrestlers - Udit (61 Kg), Jaideep (74 Kg), Mukul (86 kg), Deepak (92 Kg), and Dinesh (125 Kg) were in action on Sunday.
After a disappointing first day of the men's freestyle competition, the Indian team bounced back, thanks to the solid performances from former medalists Udit and Deeepak Punia.

Dinesh wins his first major international medal, clinching a bronze medal in the men's 125 Kg category

Deepak Punia, fighting in his seventh Asian Championships, will be chasing for his fifth Asian Medal. He already has two silver and two bronze medals to his name.
However, he will face two-time Asian champion Amir of Iran in the final, which will be a tough task for Deepak.
