The Department of Sports, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has launched the ‘Khelo Bharat: From Manufacturing to Podium Finish Quiz’ on the MY Bharat portal to raise awareness about India’s sports ecosystem, domestic sports goods manufacturing, and international sporting participation.

Launched on November 4, the quiz will remain open until November 20, 2026. It is open to all Indian citizens, irrespective of age, gender, educational qualification, or state of residence. Participants will have 15 minutes to answer 20 questions, with Fit India merchandise awarded to the top 100 performers.

The initiative places particular emphasis on the Khelo India Sports Goods Manufacturing Scheme, which has an outlay of ₹1,856.67 crore. The scheme aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing through investment support, manufacturing zones, production incentives, certification and testing, research, skill development, start-up support and branding initiatives.

These interventions are intended to expand domestic production, generate employment, increase exports and improve the global competitiveness of Indian sports goods manufacturers.

The quiz also covers India’s participation in the 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games, held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

India fielded 501 athletes across 36 disciplines and 255 events at the Asian Games. The contingent included 65 Khelo India athletes, 203 athletes supported under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) and 310 debutants, representing 31 States and Union Territories.

At the Asian Para Games, India participated with 168 athletes across 11 disciplines and 177 events. The contingent included 33 Khelo India athletes, 47 TOPS-supported athletes, six athletes from National Centres of Excellence and 61 debutants, representing 25 States and Union Territories.

Through these themes, the initiative seeks to connect the development of India's sports manufacturing industry with its ambitions on the international sporting stage. It also highlights Khelo India's role in grassroots participation, talent identification, athlete development, and sports infrastructure.

Participants can access the quiz through the MY Bharat portal and are encouraged to refer to the available study material before attempting it. Correct answers will be displayed after completion. In the event of a tie among participants competing for the top 100 positions, a computer-based lottery will determine the winners.

The quiz is available on the MY Bharat portal.
