Honda becomes title sponsor of BB Racing for ISRL season 3

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has become the title sponsor of Panchshil Realty-backed BB Racing for Season 3 of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), with the franchise set to compete as Honda BB Racing.

The partnership formalises Honda’s association with BB Racing, which has raced Honda machinery since the inaugural ISRL season. The team will continue to compete on the Honda CRF450R and CRF250R motocross motorcycles.

The agreement was signed in Pune by Atul Chordia, Chairman of Panchshil Realty and owner of BB Racing, and Mutsuo Usui, Director – Sales & Marketing at HMSI. 

“Indian riders are increasingly exploring new riding experiences, with growing interest in adventure and off-road motorcycling,” Usui said. “Our title partnership with BB Racing reflects our support for this evolving riding culture and for the growth of professional Supercross in India.”

The partnership comes after HMSI announced a strategic shift towards off-road motorsport earlier this year. For the manufacturer, the BB Racing association provides a platform to strengthen its presence in Indian Supercross while connecting its global off-road racing heritage with the domestic market.

For BB Racing, the deal upgrades an existing technical association into a title partnership. Chordia said Honda had been an important part of the team’s ISRL journey.

“Bringing the two together as Honda BB Racing is a natural next step,” Chordia said. “This partnership marks an important milestone for the team, and we look forward to competing at the highest level while contributing to the growth of Supercross and off-road motorsport in India.”

The deal also adds to ISRL’s growing manufacturer involvement. Eeshan Lokhande, Co-Founder of the league, said OEM participation was central to its plans for developing the sport.

“HMSI’s title partnership with BB Racing is a significant step for the league and reinforces the growing role of OEMs in Indian Supercross,” Lokhande said.

BB Racing has been part of the ISRL since its launch, with French rider Jordi Tixier among its leading performers across the first two seasons. Honda BB Racing will now enter Season 3 with Honda machinery and Honda’s red racing identity, strengthening the link between a major motorcycle manufacturer and a professional Supercross franchise in India.
