2025 World Para Athletics C’ships Highlights: Indian athletes ended Day 2 without any medals at the World Para Athletics Championship in New Delhi on Sunday. The athletes showed their competitive spirit with personal best and season best efforts.
In the men's Javelin Throw F57 final, Praveen Kumar was eighth with a season best effort of 41.92 while Hem Chandra finished last (tenth) with personal best of 41.17.
In Men's Long Jump T45/46/47 final, Vikas was sixth with 6.96m while Ajay Singh was tenth with season best effort of 6.31m.
In the Men's 100m T37 final, Rakeshbhai Bhatt was seventh with 11.88s while Shreyansh Triverdi was eighth with 12.18s. India is eleventh on the medals tally with three medals (1G, 1S and 1B). Brazil with 10 medals is on top.

Indian para athletes put in their best efforts on Day 2 of the World Para Athletics Championship in new Delhi on Sunday. Despite ending the day with any medals, the athletes showed with personal best and season best efforts.
In the men's Javelin Throw F57 final, Praveen Kumar was eighth with a season best effort of 41.92 while Hem Chandra finished last (tenth) with personal best of 41.17.

Ajay Singh was tenth with season best effort of 6.31m.
Cuba's Robiel Yankiel Sol Cervantes won gold with 7.57m.
In the men's Javelin Throw F57 final, India's Praveen Kumar finished 8th with a season best effort of 41.92 while Hem Chandra finished last (tenth) with personal best of 41.17.
Turkey's Muhammet Khalvandi topped the participants with a personal best effort of 53.30.
In the Men's 100m T37 final, India's Rakeshbhai Bhatt waas placed seventh with a time of 11.88s while Shreyansh Triverdi was eighth with 12.18s. The gold medal in the event was won by Brazil's Ricardo Gomes De Mendonca with a time of 11.16s, also a Championship Record.
Hem Chandra registered throws of 36.51 (1st), 41.17 (2nd), 37.94 (3rd), 39.67 (4th), 40.00 (5th) and 38.03 (final). Hem's second throw of 41.17 is a personal best. But the throw is not enough to get him a podium. He is curently at 8th with three more throwers to go.
