The Day 7 of the 2025 National Games in Uttarakhand saw the rise of young women's prodigies. Teenagers like Anmol Kharb and Dhinidhi Desinghu struck gold medals in their respective events.

Desinghu, in particular, has been exemplary at the Games, winning as many as nine gold medals to go with two National Records as she drew her campaign to a close on Tuesday.

Besides, Sathish Kumar Karnukaran won the men's singles badminton gold, staving off a challenge from the 16-year-old Suryaksh Rawat.

David Beckham Elkatohchoongo won gold in the men's elite sprint event at the National Games on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Elkatohchoongo clocked a time of 10.691 seconds in two laps to win the gold while Laitonjam Ronaldo Singh (10.724 seconds) of Manipur and another Andaman and Nicobar Islands cyclist Esow Alben (10.826 seconds) took the silver and bronze respectively.

Tamil Nadu's Satish Kumar Karunakaran has claimed the men's singles as well as doubles titles at the 38th National Games on Tuesday.

Karnataka's Dhinidhi Desinghu bagged two more gold medals on Tuesday.

First, she won the 100m Freestyle gold and thereafter, she helped Karnataka bag gold in the Mixed 4x100m Medley event. 

In all, Dhinidhi Desinghu pocketed a remarkable 9 gold medals at the 38th National Games.

Representing Assam, Lovlina registered a unanimous 5-0 victory on Tuesday to progress.

Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhat have won the gold medal in a tightly contested final in the women's doubles. 

Facing Gayatri Rawat and Mansa Rawat, the duo won 2-1 in a match that lasted just over an hour. 

Final score: Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhat 2-1 Gayatri Rawat and Mansa Rawat (21-17 15-21 21-12)
