On the eighth day of the 38th National Games Games, athletes competed for honors in sports like Shooting, Archery, and Lawn Bowl in Uttarakhand on Wednesday.

Team sports like football and Hockey continued whereas the medals were on offer in various sports from rowing to track cycling and canoe slalom. Indian athletes made their respective states proud on an intense day. 

After an intense day, Karnataka maintained its position on the top of the table, closely followed by Services in second place.

The hosts Uttarakhand into the final of the men's football team competition, winning a close match against Delhi in the penalty shootout. This is the first major final for the Uttarakhand men's football team.

Deepshikha of Haryana clinched the women's individual compound title whereas Rajat Chauhan of Rajasthan won the men's individual compound title.

Haryana men's team started their campaign with a massive 8-4 victory against host Uttarakhand. Mandeep Mor scored five goals for Haryana in an exciting match.

On the other hand, the Maharashtra men's team also started their campaign with a win after a hard-fought match against Tamil Nadu.

Andhra Pradesh men's team edged past Telangana men's team in a tight three-set match and booked their place in the final.

Whereas, Tamil Nadu made a double by reaching both men's and women's team finals. In the men's competition, they defeated Goa in the semi-final.

Puducherry's second women's team got better of Telangana's first team in the straight sets to book their place in the final.


Tamil Nadu's first women's team denied an all-Puducherry final as they defeated their first term in the semi-final, winning the match in straight games.

Haryana and Maharashtra women's hockey teams registered big wins against Karnataka and Uttarakhand respectively to kickstart their campaigns at the Nationals Games 2025.

Aishwary's 598 is one better than the current world record of men's 50m 3P Rifle qualification. However, it will not be counted as the official record but with this brilliant score, he topped the qualification to reach the final.

The finals lineup has many renowned Indian 50m 3p shooters, including Paris Olympic medalist Swapnil Kusale, who shot a score of 588, finishing 5th in qualification.

Suruchi shot a brilliant score of 245.7 to win the women's 10m air pistol final, overcoming the challenge of fellow teammate and Asian Games Champion Palak (243.6) of Haryana.
