We had two contrasting matches on display tonight. If the first one was about all out attack, the second was a much more tactical and calculated game with UP Yoddha and Bengal Warriors ending on the right side of the result respectively.

Scores:

Puneri Paltan 40-50 UP Yoddha

Telugu Titans 27-28 Bengal Warriors

2022-01-17 16:10 GMT

The Telugu Titans do a Telugu Titans. They once again surrender in the dying moments and this time by just one point. This is going to hurt them a lot with no wins in 10 games in a row.

The Warriors, on the other hand, would be pretty happy with this. They did seem in trouble at some point but recovered well to pocket it.

Rajnish too has completed his Super 10. 6 bonus point in those!

2022-01-17 16:07 GMT

He might not be at his best tonight, but Maninder has completed yet another Super 10!

2022-01-17 16:05 GMT

First all out of the match as the Telugu Titans have been wiped out with just over 2 minutes left. Just a two-point lead for the Warriors but one would think the defending champions can maintain this.

Titans 25-27 Warriors

2022-01-17 15:58 GMT

Telugu Titans down to 3 men as Ruturaj Koravi attempts an early tackle on Maninder in a do-or-die. Their lead is just a point and the Warriors are sensing an all-out now with 5 minutes left.

2022-01-17 15:50 GMT

10 minutes left in the contest and the Titans have a three-point lead. Their defence has held it together and now it is just a matter of closing this off for them.

The Warriors, on the other hand, are struggling with both Maninder and Nabibakhsh being tackled multiple times and Sukesh mainly relying on bonus instead of touch points.

Titans 22-19 Warriors

2022-01-17 15:41 GMT

First of the match and it comes from Rajnish Dalal. Two touch and a bonus as the Titans extend their lead. Warriors are struggling all of a sudden and they are down to three men.

2022-01-17 15:31 GMT

If the first match was about stunning raids, this has been complete opposite with the defensive units calling the shots. The Titans have done well in the absence of captain Rohit and have managed to tackle Maninder Singh thrice in eight raids.

The Warriors, on the other hand, have managed to revive Maninder more often tonight and hence the match is in balance until now.

2022-01-17 15:16 GMT

Eight minutes into the contest and only 9 points scored so far. This has been very tactical so far.

Titans 4-5 Warriors
