Jamshedpur FC completed the season double over Hyderabad FC with a massive 5-0 victory at G.M.C Balayogi Athletic Stadium, Hyderabad.

All eyes will be on Saweety Boora, the 2023 World Championship gold medallist and reigning national champion in the 81kg category, as the 7th Elite Women’s National Boxing Championships 2023 kick off on December 21 at the GBU Indoor Stadium, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The competition, organised by the Boxing Federation of India, scheduled to be held from December 21-27, will feature over 300 boxers from 35 units competing across 12 weight categories for top honours.

The top board battle between Gukesh and Pentala Harikrishna ends in a draw in the seventh or the final round of Chennai Grand Masters 2023.

Gukesh is now the Champion of Chennai Grand Masters with 4.5 points out of seven matches and now he is one step closer to qualify for candidates.

It is a podium sweep for India as Arjun Erigaisi finished second just behind Gukesh on tiebreaks and Pentala Harikrishna settled with bronze medal after winning 4 points after 7 matches.

Indian wrestler and 2016 Rio Olympics bronze medalist Sakshi Malik announced her retirement from the sport on Thursday after the Wrestling Federation of India elections result.

In an emotional address to the media at the Press Club in Delhi, Sakshi said was going to quit wrestling, expressing her disappointment over Sanjay Singh, a loyalist of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, getting elected as Wrestling Federation of India president.

Indian women's team is looking themselves in a solid position after day-1 of the one-off test match against Australia.

Australia added 29 more rus in the final season after a crucial 28 run knock from the tailender Kim Garth. Sneh Rana takes the final wicket of Australian innings.

Indian openers gave a fiery start to the innings chasing 219 and built up a 90 run partnership. Shafali Verma loses her wicket at the end of day's play after making a quickfire 40 runs.

Sneh Rana replaced her as a night watchman and sill on the crease with Smriti Mandhana going into day-2 with the aim of getting big first innings lead.

Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association vice-president Sanjay Kumar Singh and a loyalist of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh wins the WFI election. Now, he is the newest president of Wrestling federation of India.

He overpowered Anita Sheoran with 40 votes in his favour out of the total 47 voters. Prem Chand Lochab will takes on the role of Secretary General.

In this year I-League season, newly promoted teams, Delhi FC and Shillong Lajong, entered the competition, replacing the relegated sides from the previous season, Mumbai Kenkre FC and Sudeva Delhi.

Meanwhile, the I-League welcomed new clubs, Inter Kashi and Namdhari FC, as the AIFF approved five corporate bids, with YMS Finance Pvt Ltd (Inter Kashi) and Namdhari Seeds Pvt Ltd (Namdhari FC) emerging as the chosen entries in the Annual General Body Meeting.

Currently, among the newly promoted or joined teams, Shillong Lajong leads at 6th place, playing one game less than last year's champions Gokulam Kerala and eyeing a higher finish. Despite their standings, Inter Kashi at 7th and Delhi FC at 8th are in close pursuit of Shillong.
