India took the lead in the seventh minute through a Harmanpreet Singh goal. Germany drew level three minutes into the second quarter when Peillat Gonzalo scored. Germany went up 2-1 when Ruher Christopher scored before the end of the second quarter. India drew level in the third quarter with Sukhjeet Singh scoring. Germany, however, snatched the win with Marco Miltkau scoring at the fag end of the match.
