FIH Men's Junior World Cup Highlights: India broke their streak of fourth-place finishes at the FIH Men's Junior World Cup, winning the bronze medal with a 4-2 win over Argentina on Wednesday.

Anmol Ekka emerged as the star of the show as India went from 0-2 down at the end of the third quarter to scoring four goals in the fourth for a stunning comeback.

Ankit Pal, Manmeet Singh, Ekka, and Shardanand Tiwari all found the net to help India to their fourth world cup medal and a first-ever bronze.

That's all we have from the 2025 FIH Men's Junior Hockey World Cup bronze medal match between India and Argentina.

The hosts conceded early, thanks to a glaring error from Anmol Ekka which gave Argentina a penalty stroke. India dominated the second quarter and early third quarter but failed to equalise.

Argentina, meanwhile, found a goal late in the third quarter to push India on the brink of a loss.

Ekka, however, had a sudden change in plans. He assisted in two PCs India scored and scored one himself to complete a remarkable turnaround for himself and the team.

India's problem inside the circle were well exploited by the Argentine defence for majority of the match and they have those set pieces to thank for this bronze medal.

"We weren't able to score at first. But sir told us we need to score anyway. So, we started to play full press and then ended up winning," says Anmol Ekka, the Player of the Match.

They were down in the dumps. They were 0-2 down at the end of the third quarter. They had no business in winning this. 

But come the fourth quarter, they pumped in four goals. Those two PC variations led by Anmol Ekka and scored by Manmeet, Ankit brought them back.

Shardanand Tiwari then scored a penalty stroke before Ekka himself scored from a dragflick to complete the turnaround.

Not to forget the contributions from Arshdeep to earn those two first PCs and then a stroke. Princedeep, as usual, was stunning in front of the goal!

Argentina with a last-ditch attempt to penetrate the circle from the left but the hooter sounds. India have turned it around.

Argentina have called off their goalkeeper in a bid to earn an equaliser. But India create a counter attack to earn a PC of their own.

It is a PC routine with goalkeeper for India and Anmol Ekka, after turning provider twice earlier, scores one himself.
