Team Gonasika continue from where they left off in the first half and they were duly rewarded for their consistent efforts early in the third quarter. The Soorma Hockey Club have been a bit subdued through out the match and they will need to shake it off in the final quarter.

40' - Manpreet asks the umpire to calm down
Manpreet Singh is fouled for the third time in the quarter and he is unhappy as he gets up from the floor. The umpire comes in to have a word with him and the former Indian captain tells him to calm down. Uno Reverse there from Manpreet. Fun.

36' - Gonasika miss PC
Another error from Gurinder inside the circle and Team Gonasika have a penalty corner.
However, Nilam Sanjeep Xess' drag flick is blocked cleanly by the Soorma first rusher to get things back in control.

33' - GONASIKA SCOREEE!
A good pass from Amir to Mandeep Singh inside the circle, who sends the ball to Nilam Sanjeep Xess on the left baseline. Nilam tries to put the ball in front of the goal, searching for his teammates.
But he doesn't really need his teammate. Soorma's Gurinder, trying to intercept the ball, deflects it in instead. A classic own goal, if I may.

We are back for the second half and Team Gonasika get us underway. The Soorma are down to ten men with a yellow card Harjeet picked up late in the second quarter.

HALF TIME!
An interesting first half with neither teams willing to give an inch. There were not many threatening runs in the circle, but whatever little action we have had in front of the goal has been handled well by the defenders and goalkeepers.
Gonasika looked eager to press in the second quarter, but they don't have any goals to show for it. The deadlock remains.

A good run in from the left by Lee Morton and he passes it to Timothee Clement, whose deflection goes wide of the near post. A good chance missed by Team Gonasika.

23' - Pradip Mandal takes a blow now
Gonasika are on an attack and Mandeep Singh looks to chip the ball inside the circle and he hits Pradip Mandal of Soorma on the side of his head.
The 17-year-old Mandal is bleeding slightly and has to go off. Unintentional from Mandeep, but that is scary.
