Australia wins a penalty corner. It is Harvie who earns the PC after entering the circle with a sharp spin and finds the feet of Hardik. But drag flicker Blake Govers' shot goes wide. 

34' Brilliant stickwork by Mandeep

Mandeep is showing his skill in the Australian circle. He has been encircled by the Australian players, but still, he manages to advance with his superb stickwork and swerves. However, Howard comes forward to tackle the Indian to stave off the danger. India 4-2 Australia 

31' Pathak replaces Sreejesh in the goal

In the third quarter, Krishan Pathak has replaced PR Sreejesh, who hardly had to make contact with the ball as Indian players kept Australian defence so busy throughout the second quarter.

Craig Fulton reflects on India's performance in the first half

India coach Craig Fulton says: "Entertaining fixture at the moment. Not the ideal start at all, but nice to know that we can come back and play a good brand of hockey. We need to have real control in all areas in the second half. We've got to manage it."

Colin Batch reflects on Australia's performance in the first half

Australia coach Colin Batch:

"You score early, the game's got a long way to go. We've got to get back our passing game. We lost that for a lot of the half. First five minutes, terrific."

30' Half-time

India makes a stunning comeback in the second quarter. After trailing 1-2 in the first quarter, the Men in Blue go 4-2 up in the match rattling the Australian defence like anything. Brilliant show by Craig Fulton's men. After the initial setback, Indian players did not get rattled, they made themselves ready for a counterattack. And the result is Australia's shaky defence is now clueless about how to stop India's measured attacking play. 

30' Mandeep scores, India goes 4-2 up

What a brilliant goal! Mandeep revolves around the ball 360 degrees and takes a reverse shot after Harmanpreet sends him a crucial pass from the midfield. It is so powerful that Charter cannot do anything about it but lay his hands on the ball in a confusing manner. The result is the ball rattles the goalpost. 

India goes 4-2 up in the match. 

27' Close miss

Sukhjeet misses a close chance. Abhishek creates a chance for him by sending a long ball to him, but Charter is alert and rushes to stave off the danger. 

24' Successful review by India

Australia has been awarded a PC, but India has decided to review it. And the video umpire gives the verdict in India's favour.

Manpreet has tackled Anderson on the left. It is a good tackle. India commands the second quarter.
