Mohun Bagan vs FC Goa Durand Cup Semi-finals
Mohun Bagan SG defeated FC Goa in the second semi-finals of the 132nd Durand Cup at the VYBK stadium, Kolkata on Thursday.
The first half lived up to promise. FC Goa initially piled up pressure, yet Mohun Bagan's defense held firm, setting the stage for a tactical duel. A rare error from Hugo Boumous handed FC Goa a chance, as Noah Sadaoui capitalized on the opportunity to break the deadlock.
The drama was far from over, as a controversial penalty call stirred the waters and Jason Cummings converted from the spot to level the score. Armando Sadiku scored the winner for Mohun Bagan in the second half.

Mohun Bagan are through to the finals of the 132nd edition of the Durand Cup. It is Kolkata Derby time, yet again.

That could have been the last chance for FC Goa, as Rowlin Borges takes a long ranger from a rebound. But he is unable to keep it on target.
Into the added time, FC Goa are given a free kick. Paulo takes from the far right and delivers it accurately into the box. Jay Gupta gets his head on it, but Vishal Kaith pulls off a massive save.
A good ball from Armando Sadiku on the left to Sahal Samad who is in the box, could have been easy finish but he shoots it wide.
We are approximately 10 minutes away from the second Kolkata Derby of the season. Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, both 16 time winners of the prestigious Durand cup.
Can FC Goa pull of a last minute upset?
Brandon sends a defense splitting pass from the middle of the park to Noah Sadaoui. Yuste is the last man and he sets up the offside trap nicely, for the second time. The whistle is blown a bit late, though.
Noah wins a corner for FC Goa. Brandon takes it and Rowlin Borges tries to take a first time volley from a deflection. The ball goes just over the bar.
And Mohun Bagan takes the lead, thanks to a goal from Armando Sadiku. It was though, a mistake from Sandesh Jhingan that ended up on the feet of Armando Sadiku.

Neither side has settled into the game yet. But FC Goa had two chances, the second one a long ranger from McHugh. Vishal Kaith dives to his right to deny Carl McHugh. That could have been a beautiful goal.
