The Indian men's blind football team opened its campaign with a 0-2 loss to South Korea at the Asian Para Games in Nagoya on Friday.

India conceded a goal in each half in the preliminary round match as South Korea's Jang Yeongjun scored a brace in 15th and 38th minute. India will now take on hosts Japan on Saturday.

India had taken 16 shots in comparison to South Korea's eight but still couldn't find the back of the net and faced a defeat in the opener.

This is a six-team competition, where each team will play against the other five teams once. The top teams in the preliminary round will fight for the gold medal while the third and fourth place sides will play in the bronze medal match.

Besides India, Japan, South Korea, China, Iran and Thailand are competing for the three medals in the event.
