They survive. India survive and live to fight another day, thanks to a late goal from Lalremsiami. India are through to the semifinal of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games with this 3-2 win over Canada.

IND 3-2 CAN 

Horror for India as first Lalremsiami injures herself as she rushes into the knee of a Canadian defender. She has to be pulled out of the field before Monika fails to trap the PC injection to miss the opportunity.

Vandana steals the ball and runs in solo. She penetrates from the right, but is brought down cleanly by the Canadian defender. The shot goes wide.

A PC for India, but Gurjit Kaur's tame drag flick is blocked with ease. The ball revolves in the circle for a couple of seconds before it finds Lalremsiami, who slots it in.

INDIA HAVE COME ALIVE IN THIS CONTEST!

IND 3-2 CAN

Neha Goyal scores and India erupts in celebrations. But, the joy is shortlived. There was a backstick there from Neha and the goal is disallowed. 

A very aggressive start to the final quarter as both the teams press forward hard.

This is not looking good now for India. They have let Canada back into the contest in the third quarter and now themselves hang by a thread. Remember, even a draw won't be enough for India to go through to the semifinal since Canada have a better goal difference.

A lot to play for in the final 15 minutes for Savita Punia and co.

IND 2-2 CAN

Good stuff this from India as they deny Canada two back to back Penalty Corners. 

And Canada have equalised just like that. A PC for them and they try a variation. Savita Punia was completely flummoxed there and Canada have drawn level.

India slowly fighting back to take back control of the proceedings now.
