Para Powerlifting, Women's Lightweight Final B: Jaspreet Kaur clears 100kg to move to the top!

India's Jaspreet Kaur produced a brilliant final lift, successfully clearing 100kg in her third attempt in the Women's Lightweight Final B.

The lift earned her 96.4 points, moving the Indian to the top of the standings as she awaits the remaining competitors' attempts.

On to group A now.

India started End 1 of Set 2 with almost four bowls close to the jack, but South Africa's final bowl finished closest to the jack, earning them one point. South Africa lead 1-0 at the end of End 1 in Set 2.

Para Powerlifting, Women's Lightweight Final B: Jaspreet Kaur fails to clear 99kg!

India's Jaspreet Kaur was unsuccessful in her second attempt, failing to clear 99kg, a lift that was 2kg short of her national record.

The attempt was ruled a 'No Lift', with two of the three referees voting against the lift. Jaspreet remains on her opening successful lift of 95kg (91.5 points) with one attempt remaining.

Artistic Gymnastics, Men's Team Final: India scores 35.800 in the Horizontal Bars; finishes at top after subdivision-2

India concluded the men's team final with another 35 points+ score in the last rotation, i.e, horizontal bars, to run an aggregate total of 208.550 points and finish at the top after subdivision-2.

The third and final subdivision will start at 10:00 PM IST and have 6 more teams, and hence India's medal chances will be decided based on their results.

Meanwhile, Tapan Mohanty (71.700 points) and Yogeshwar Singh (71.400 Points) are currently in third and fourth place in the All-Round Individual standings and will very likely qualify for the 24-man final.

Bowls Women's Pairs,section B: India vs South Africa

India return for their second match at the Commonwealth Games after winning their opening match against Malta.

The Indian pair of Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh will take on South Africa's Bridget Herselman and Thabelo Muvhango.

Interestingly, both pairs were part of their respective fours teams that won medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and will face each other once again today.
