Para Powerlifting: Jaspreet Kaur ahead of women's finals!
India's Jaspreet Kaur and Suman Devi have been introduced during the athlete line-up ahead of the women's para powerlifting competition at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
Jaspreet will be the first Indian to take the platform, with Suman's event to follow shortly after. India will be hoping the duo can deliver the country's first medal in para powerlifting in Glasgow.
Artistic Gymnastics, Men's Team Final: India scores 35.450 in the Parallel Bars Programme
Tapan Mohanty (12.700) and Yogeshwar Singh (12.750) continued to impress as India had another team score of 35+ points.
Meanwhile, Tapeswaranath Das couldn't have a fine landing, hence had a low score of 10 points in his Parallel Bars Sequence.
With this, India has also confirmed its pole position after the two subdivisions, with one more rotation yet to go.
In the final rotation, the Indian gymnasts will move to Horizontal Bar, with India's current top-scorer Tapan to start.

India's focus now shifts to the women's para powerlifting events, with Jaspreet Kaur and Suman Devi set to be in action later this evening.
Jaspreet will be the first Indian to compete, followed by Suman shortly after, as India looks to secure its first medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games after Ashok narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish in the men's lightweight event.

India's Ashok and Paramjeet Kumar finished fourth and seventh, respectively, in the Men's Lightweight Final A at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Ashok registered a new personal best by lifting 200kg, earning 143.8 points to narrowly miss out on a podium finish.
Paramjeet Kumar, meanwhile, ended the competition with one successful lift of 176kg, worth 135.6 points, after failing in his remaining two attempts.
Para Powerlifting, Men's Lightweight Final: Ashok misses 205kg, finish fourth!
India's Ashok was unsuccessful in his third and final attempt at 205kg, bringing his campaign in the Men's Lightweight Final A to a close.
The Indian finishes fourth with a personal-best lift of 200kg, narrowly missing out on a medal after an impressive performance in Glasgow.
Artistic Gymnastics, Men's Team Final: India scores 37.750 in the Vault Programme
As expected, India had its highest team score in the Vault programme among the four rotations so far.
Tapan Mohanty was the first Indian gymnast to cross the 13-point mark, scoring 13.200 Points, followed by Yogeshwar Singh (12.800) and Tapeswaranath Das (11.750).
India still has the highest score among the teams that have completed the Vault Programme.
In rotation-5, India will move to Parallel Bars, with Yogeshwar to start the programme.

India's Paramjeet Kumar was unsuccessful in his third and final attempt at 179kg after all three referees ruled it a 'No Lift'.
The Indian finishes with a best successful lift of 176kg (135.6 points) and now awaits the completion of the event to know his final placing.

India's Ashok successfully lifted 200kg in his second attempt, registering a new personal best in the Men's Lightweight Final A.
The successful lift improves his points tally and keeps him fourth with 143.8 points as the competition heads into the final round of attempts.
Para Powerlifting, Men's Lightweight Final A: Paramjeet Kumar fails to clear 179kg
India's Paramjeet Kumar was unsuccessful in his second attempt, failing to clear 179kg, a lift worth 136.0 points.
He remains on his opening successful lift of 176kg (135.6 points) and currently sits third in group A in the standings with one attempt remaining.
