India will have a busy second day at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Friday with athletes competing across swimming, para swimming, artistic gymnastics, para powerlifting, bowls and boxing.
After an unbeaten start in bowls on the opening day, Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh return for their women's pairs clash against South Africa, while Putul Sonowal takes on the Falkland Islands in the men's singles.
The day also features six medal events for India, with para powerlifters Ashok, Paramjeet Kumar, Jaspreet Kaur, Suman Devi, Kasthuri Rajamani, Jhandu Kumar and defending Commonwealth champion Sudhir all in action.
In swimming, Srihari Nataraj begins his campaign in the men's 50m backstroke, while Ravi Veera Venkata and Imam Ali compete in the men's S13 100m freestyle. Boxer Jadumani Singh also opens his campaign in the men's 55kg round of 32.

Para Swimming, Men's S13 100m Freestyle Heats: Ravi Veera Venkata & Imam Ali
Ravi and Imam will be in action in Men’s S13 100m freestyle. They are both making their debuts at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Ravi is in lane 2 and Imam in lane 8. There is only 1 heat in this event.

Swimming action begins at the Tollcross Swimming Centre. The morning session will start 3PM onwards.
India is fielding a five swimmers and as many para swimmers. Men’s S13 100m Freestyle will feature Ravi Veera Venkata & Imam Ali while men’s 50m Backstroke will feature Srihari Natraj.

Six medal events headline India's Day 2 campaign!
India will compete in six medal events on the second day of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with para powerlifting taking centre stage.
Ashok and Paramjeet Kumar will begin India's medal hunt in the men's lightweight final, followed by Jaspreet Kaur and Suman Devi in the women's lightweight events. Later in the evening, Kasthuri Rajamani, Jhandu Kumar, and reigning Commonwealth champion Sudhir will also be in action in the heavyweight categories.
Elsewhere, Srihari Nataraj starts his men's 50m backstroke campaign, Ravi Veera Venkata and Imam Ali compete in the para swimming heats, the men's artistic gymnastics team takes the floor, Jadumani Singh begins his boxing campaign, while Rupa Rani Tirkey, Pinki Singh and Putul Sonowal return to continue India's impressive start in bowls.
