Athletics, Men's Long Jump Final: Silver Medal for Murali Sreeshankar

He jumped 7.97m on his final attempt and remained in silver medal position behind Tajay Gayle of Jamaica

This meant he couldn't improve on his 8.09m mark from the second attempt and finished 2nd.

This is Sreeshankar's second consecutive silver at the Commonwealth Games, replicating his silver with 8.08m in Birmingham four years ago.

Athletics, Men's Long Jump Final: Lokesh Sathyanthan finishes 5th with a best of 7.97m

Lokesh could only manage a 7.62m jump on his final attempt.

This meant he couldn't improve on his 7.97m mark from the first attempt and finished 5th on his CWG debut.

He could manage to jump 7.94m on his penultimate attempt and is still behind Gayle's 8.15m.

Tajay Gayle of Jamaica jumps 8.15m on his fourth attempt to topple Murali, who had a foul jump on his fourth and now dropped to second place.

Lokesh had a 7.65m jump on his fourth and remained in 4th place with the best of 7.97m.

Para Swimming: Suyash Jadhav finishes fourth in men's S7 50m freestyle final!

India's Suyash Jadhav narrowly missed out on a medal after finishing fourth in the men's S7 50m freestyle final at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Jadhav clocked 31.63s to finish just outside the podium, while compatriot Chaitanya Vishwas (C.V.) Kulkarni placed fifth with a time of 33.17s.

South Africa's Christian Sadie won the gold medal in a Games record time of 28.06s, with Singapore's Wei Soong Toh taking silver (29.36s) and England's Bruce Dee claiming bronze (31.33s).

A poor start for Manpreet as she could attain a distance of 15.92m on his first attempt.

However, she is still in 4th place in the overall standings but will have to improve further to have any chance of a medal.

India's Suyash Jadhav and Chaitanya Vishwas (C.V.) Kulkarni are up next in the men's S7 50m freestyle final at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Indian duo qualified for the final earlier in the day and will now look to challenge a strong field featuring Canada's Sebastian Massabie, Malaysia's Muhammad Nur Syaiful Zulkafli, England's Bruce Dee, South Africa's Christian Sadie and Singapore's Wei Soong Toh for a place on the podium.
