Both Indian hurdlers maintained their positions as the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers in the 400m hurdles and qualified for the final.
Santhosh finished in 7th place with 49.51s, while Yashas clocked 49.65s to finish 8th in the preliminary round.

A similar story for the second Indian hurdler, Santhosh Tamilarasan, as he also misses the automatic qualification spot and finished third in his heat.
However, he clocked 49.51s, which is better than Yashas', and he is now at the top of the list of non-automatic qualifiers, followed by Yashas in second.

Yashas just missed out on an automatic qualification spot for the final, as just two athletes per heat qualified directly for the final.

Lokesh has already bettered his qualifying best with a leap of 7.97m on his first attempt.
He is currently in 4th place, just behind Murali in the overall standings.

Indian star long jumper Murali Sreeshankar will be aiming for India's first medal of the day in the men's long jump final at 11:54 PM.
He is one of the two Indians in the 12-man final alongside Lokesh Sathyanathan.
Murali has the second-highest Personal best (8.41m) in the field, just behind Tajay Gayle of Jamaica (8.67m) and will be one of the favourites for the title.

In a tightly poised final, the two boxers played a distant boxing match and did not let each other come into the hitting range.
In the end, the judges liked Jaismine's work in the last round, and she clinched it unanimously, resulting in a 4-1 win for her, confirming her second consecutive CWG medal.

Jaismine again took the round on a 3-2 split decision, and the overall score of the tie is 2-1 in favour of jaismine ahead of the final round.
