The same intensity continues in the second round. It is Mwale with more of the attacking, with Jadumani pinned to the backfoot.
But there's nothing much the Zambian pugilist is able to do though. Jadumani has attempted fewer punches, but he's landed more if not the same amount.

An extremely tough battle between Jadumani and Mwale. Both boxers quick on their feet, as well as with their hands in those punches.
Quite a few heavy blows landed by both pugilists. It's a battle of different sizes btw, a diminutive Jadumani up against a taller Mwale.
The judges' prefer the work done by Jadumani in Round 1. He takes it 4-1 by split.

The conditions are getting worse with the complete pelting down in Glasgow. However, the competiion contunies, adding another challenge to this high-pressure final.
Pooja also took her first attempt at 1.82m, but failed it after dislodging the bar with her back.

Pooja kept her in the competition with a 1.77m clearance at her second attempt. This was the second consecutive height at which she had to take two attempts.
Six athletes have breached this mark among the nine participants who have started their competition, while three athletes have yet to take their first jump.

There are pretty tough conditions in Glasgow, with heavy rain, and the running track for the high jump athletes has multiple water puddles.
Pooja did feel difficulty on her first attempt, but she conquered the 1.72m mark on her second.
Harjinder Kaur finishes snatch with 101kg!
India's Harjinder Kaur signed off the snatch section with a successful 101kg lift in her third and final attempt in the women's 69kg weightlifting final.
Having completed all three snatch attempts successfully (95kg, 99kg and 101kg), Harjinder now heads into the clean and jerk, where the medals will be decided.

Jadumani Singh will be the next Indian boxer in action in men's 55kg.
