Lakshya Sen lost to Viktor Axelsen in the semifinal of the Paris Olympics 2024 on Sunday.
Lakshya still has a chance to win a medal as he will now play in the bronze medal playoff against Lee Zii Jia on Monday.

Lakshya wastes good chances in both games. But Axelsen is a different beast. He bounces back into both games to steal the games from the jaws of loses.
In the first game, Axelsen saved two game points before winning the game claiming a total of four points in a row. In the second game, he bounced back after Lakshya broke away to a 7-0 lead.
Lakshya goes down for the 8th time against Axelsen.

Lakshya loses his intensity and Axelsen grabs the chance with both handed. Axelsen is now on a four-point advantage at 17-13.
He was behind 0-7 at the beginingof the game.
It is 13-15 now for Lakshya.
But Axelsen bounces back as Lakshya commits another error by playing the shuttle into the net.
Axelsen leads 16-13.
Lakshya seems to have lost his momentum. Advice are coming from the bench. But Lakshya tails 12-15.
Lakshya is defending here, and Axelsen breaks into a 14-12 lead.
