Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu had barely any trouble securing their wins and are well into the next round after some quality display of badminton.
Srikanth saw off Frenchman Brice Leverdez, Sindhu saw off Thailand's Busanan Ongbamrungphan.
The duo of Sai Pratheek and Sikki Reddy lost in the Mixed Doubles while the Women's Doubles pair of Haritha Harinaryanan and Ashna Roy also lost.
