2019 WCH bronze medallist Sai Praneeth faced an early exit
For B. Sai Praneeth, who won a historic bronze from the 2019 edition of the World Championships in Basel, it was quite the uphill task taking on Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen, the World No. 4.
However, Praneeth, who has been struggling with injuries, was able to put up a good show and stretched the match to a decider against the seasoned Taiwanese star.
It was mirror scores everywhere as Praneeth went down fighting to CTC in three games.
For Mixed Doubles, Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto also got the dream start!
