Every rally that goes beyond 10 shots looks more and more in the Indian's advantage. A misjudged serve to end the game with an anti-climactic 1-shot rally.

Everytime the shuttle hangs loosely for Lakshya, the Korean side of the net looks huge. Jeon does not have similar luck with his smashes though, too many line errors still. Lakshya now needed to come up with a series of defensive maneouvres to win the longest rally of the match so far, he does it as Jeon hits a drop shot into the net.

The Indian pair were never in with a chance in the decider. The Dutch pulled away from 3-2 to 9-3 and there was no looking back. Ashwini and Shikha lose 14-21, 21-11, 14-21 to crash out of the BWF World Championships.

Women's Doubles: Ashwini/Shikha lose 1st game

Up against the Dutch pair of Debora Jille and Cheryl Seinen, the women's doubles pair of Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam have lost their first game. Scores were level till 10-10, but the Dutch pulled away after the interval to win 21-14.
