Game 2: Prannoy loses another rally

Prannoy is unable to win rallies. His mishit sees Axelsen beating the Indian with a smash to draw level at 8-8. 

But Prannoy retains lead at 9-8.

Game 2: Prannoy misses the plot

Axelsen engages Prannoy in another rally. But Axelsen waits for that moment at the net. Prannoy draws closer to the net and Axelsen sends a flick to earn a point to make it 6-7. 

Axelsen draws level at 7-7, winning the next point. 

Game 2: Prannoy regains lead

Prannoy loses another long rally - 40 shots. Prannoy tries to go for the kill; the placement is correct, but his flick goes wide. Axelsen leads 5-4. 

Prannoy is not lagging behind. He wins two quick points to regain a lead.

Axelsen draws level at 4-4, winning a long rally with a forehand push.

Prannoy draws level in the second game. It is 2-2 now as Axelen's toss goes wide.

Prannoy returns two smashes, one between his legs. But Axelsen manages to earn the lead at 2-1, landing his mash on his Prannoy's left.

Prannoy starts the second game with a point as Axelsen hits the net. 

The Dane shoots back with a point to make it 1-1.

Axelsen wins the first game

Axelsen takes the lead in the quarterfinal, winning the first game 21-13 against Prannoy.

Game 1: Axelsen hits wide

Good defence by Prannoy. He returns Axelsen's smash. The Dane, in response, hits another smash but this shot goes wide. Prannoy reduces the gap to 13-16.
