BWF World C’ships 2025: PV Sindhu and Satwik-Chirag advance - HIGHLIGHTS
R32 action brought good results for Indian in the women's singles and men's doubles.

After posting victories in their respectively round-one fixtures, PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy stepped out for their R32 games on Wednesday at the BWF World Championships 2025 at Paris.
Sindhu was up against Malaysia's Karupathevan Letshanaa (WR40) and despite an early wobble, she recovered well to wrap up the fixture in straight games.
Additionally, there was doubles action for India as well on Wednesday.
The mixed doubles pair of Dhruv-Tanisha progressed in their R32 outing after easing past Ireland's Joshua Magee and Moya Ryan (WR80).
Elsewhere, the star Indian men's doubles pair of Satwik-Chirag (seeded 9th) overcome a late hiccup in the first game before steamrolling the Chinese Taipei pair of Liu-Yang (WR23).
Meanwhile, it was curtains for Rohan-Ruthvika who went down in straight games to 4th seeded Malaysian pair of Chen-Ton in the mixed doubles event.

The HS Prannoy R32 fixture against Antonsen, the 2nd seeded Dane, has been delayed and unfortunately, we will wrap out live coverage at this point of time.
There were, however, good results for India on Wednesday with victories for PV Sindhu and the men's doubles pair of Satwik-Chirag.

In the R32 mixed doubles clash, the Indian pair went down to WR4 Malaysian pair Chen-Toh in straight games: 16-21 & 11-21.
Game #2: The Indians draw an error and they have multiple match points at 20-13.
Game #2: 19-12, the Indians lead.
Every time the Taipei pair pick up a couple of points, the Indians rear right back.
Game #2: At 17-10, the Indians have the momentum here.

Game #2: Liu-Yang have fought back well in this game...the Indians go into the changeover up by just two points, 11-9.
Game #2: A couple of good smashes from the Taipei pair and they have now won 3-points on the trot but still trail 7-9.
