China Masters 2026: Satwik-Chirag won their second Super750 title of the year

The star Indian doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty clinched the 2026 China Masters Super 750 title in Shenzhen on Sunday.

The duo staged a comeback to win a thrilling three-game contest, 11-21, 21-13, 21-17, against the home pairing of He Jiting and Ren Xiangyu in one hour and 10 minutes.

They maintained their unbeaten record against the Chinese pair, extending their head-to-head lead to 3-0, and claimed their second Super 750 title of the year after the Singapore Open.

Overall, this was their fourth Super 750 title but the first at the China Masters after having two runner-up finishes in the previous editions.

The Chinese pair made a strong start to the match, winning the first five points on trot and holding a commanding 11-5 lead at the mid-game interval.

They continued to dominate the rallies after the break and closed out the opening game comfortably.

In the second game, Satwik-Chirag made a much better start, playing more aggressive shots and keeping the deficit within reach, then establishing an 11-7 lead at the interval.

They maintained their momentum after the break, producing quality shots to dominate the game and force a decider, winning 10 of the last 15 points.

In the deciding game, the Chinese pair once again began well, taking a 7-4 lead. However, the Indians stayed composed and prevented them from pulling away.

But still, the Chinese duo entered the final change of ends with a narrow 11-9 advantage and tried to hold on after the break with steep smashes from the net.

The Indians, however, kept the pressure on and eventually levelled the score at 16-16 when a Chinese player’s return sailed past the baseline.

After that, the Chinese pair looked unsettled and committed several unforced errors, allowing the Indians to close out the match comfortably by winning the final five points and sealing the title.
