Another extremely poor show on India's card today...

The pair of Meghana Jakkampudi and Poorvisha Ram only manage to gather 8 points in the match against the Thai pair and lose extremely poorly to crash out of the All England Open, 21-5, 21-3.

Pretty meek show from Sameer Verma here, he loses too in straight sets...

Sameer Verma's injuries seem to be a bother here as he loses the match pretty fast to Mark Caljouw, 21-18, 21-11.

Chin up, Verma. Come back stronger.

Meanwhile, even Krishna/Vishnu fail to capitalise and lose....

Krishna and Vishnu's All England campaign is brought to a rude halt now as they lose in straight games to the German pair, 21-16, 21-19!

Sameer Verma's rhythm is not in place now...

Mark Caljouw is making smart moves here and Sameer Verma isn't able to cover up the points gap that keeps widening.

Ah, tch! Sameer loses the lead as Caljouw shifts gears to win the first game!

Sameer falls on the backfoot as Mark Caljouw powers in and comes out on top of the rallies. Sameer's game needs some more time here.

Caljouw wins the first set 21-18 as Sameer's return falls wide.

Time for a comeback!

Caljouw is pushing back, the rallies are getting longer but Sameer keeps up!

The first game is getting tight now as Caljouw is being relentless here and making Sameer move a lot. But Verma has the lead still at 14-15.

Sameer is beautiful at the net as well, and smart

Sameer Verma gets off to a good start in the first game here and is playing some quality badminton, especially at the net and mixing the pace of his shots.

He leads by a thin margin at 8-7.

Sameer Verma is also back - after such a long time!

Sameer Verma, returning from a nagging injury, will look to put his front foot forward as he goes up against Mark Caljouw. This will be slightly tricky!
