Neeraj Chopra made his World Championships debut was in 2017. He threw 82.26m in the qualification round. The distance was not enough to secure a spot in the final!

37 athletes in the qualification round. 19 in Group A and 18 in Group B. Defending Champion Neeraj Chopra will be seen in Group A alongwith debutant Sachin Yadav.

Men’s Triple Jump qualification

A total of 36 athletes are divided into two groups of 18 each. Each athlete gets three attempts in the qualification round. The automatic qualification mark is 17.10.
