Payal Jamod wins the women's high jump title with a leap of 1.71m

Payal won the title ahead of Kevinaa Annavi on the countback as she cleared the 1.71m height on her first attempt, while Kevinaa took three attempts.

Both jumpers missed the 1.73m mark, bringing an end to the high jump competition.

Gurindervir Singh wins the second heat with a great time of 6.69s

Gurindervir Singh (6.69s), Nuzrat (6.72s) and Dondaptai Mrutym Jayaram (6.74s) were the three best finishers from the second heat and booked a direct spot in the final.

Nehal Sagar (6.871) and Sarun Payasingh (6.875) get the final two spots for the final as the fastest non-automatic qualifiers.

Animesh Kujur wins the first heat of men's 60m semi-finals

After a 20-minute delay due to some technical difficulties and a false start, the sprinters finally had their mark on the board.

Animesh Kujur (6.71s), Lalu Prasad Bhoi (6.72s), and Laukik Anant (6.77s) reached the final from Heat 1.

Swadhin Kumar Majhi clears 2.18m to clinch the title

He confirms his gold medal as the only high jumper with a clearance at the 2.18m mark.

Despite failing to clear the 2.20m mark, he confirmed the title ahead of the favourite Sarvesh Kushare (2.15m).
